Suspension
Driving my 2002 at level three. Once I hit 50 or os , it drops to level II. all is well until I hit a bump. Starts loosing height, pump starts running until I get an error and it goes all the way down to less than one ( level 1 blinking). Turn the car off then back on. Ligth goes off car brings itself to level three.
driving this AM, it happens again. get off road, turn car off and then on, pump runs , ride height doesnt change, have to limp home. new front air bags in the last year. Any ideas, before I bring this thing to the shooting range ?

As far as the car dropping to level 2 at 50 MPH, the car is supposed to do that. It will stay in level 4 till 25, level 3 until 45 and level till until 75. As far as losing air after lowering, i had a similar problem where i would leak in levels 1 and 2 but hold air in 3 and 4. I ended up replacing the front 2 bags with arnott gen II's and that fixed the problem. I have heard nothing but bad news with the reliability of the stock airbags so decided to switch since I plan on keeping the car for a while and they have a lifetime warranty.
As for the stock bags, could be seals or what i thought was the problem with my bags was that as the car is lowered, the rubber folds and there could be a crack/ tear in the rubber that leaks air when folded, but not when straight.
hope some of this helps and good luck!

If you are looking for quick/cheap, then determine which bag is leaking and remove the air line to it, then squirt some Slime in there. Mine was acting exactly the same as yours, treated it a couple of months ago. No issues now...

Its a bad bag. Let car sit at level 3. drop it to level two and see if you hear leaking anywhere. Most of the time you can. Drop to level 1 as well. Should be able to hear the leak. Slime doesnt work in my experience. Also, clean your bags with water, see if you see any bubbles on them in those lower levels.
