I have a 1.8T ATW engine with only 55K miles complete with turbo, intercooler, wiring harness and ecu for sale. Had a accident and need to part out the car. Asking 2400 OBO + shipping. will that fit in a 96 a4?

 

I think you can but dont quote me on that. I'll ask around and call a few friends and places. Post an update when i get an answer. Anyone else reading this forum have an answer? Would really appreciate it, thanks.

 

Doubtful. The 96 only came with a 2.8 v6. The 2000 1.8t is also thottle by wire, the 96 isn't. The suspension will also have to be changed since the 1.8 is a lot lighter than the 2.8. However, anything is possible with enough money.

 

I HAVE THE AEB. WHATS THE DIFFERENCE WITH THESE TWO ENGINES.

 

What kind of tranny does it have automatic or manual? And how much are you looking to get for it?

 

yeah i want to know is it a manual.

a manual swap would be sick.

 

It's a manual with around 140K on the tranny. Im trying to sell the engine first to help recuperate loss, hopefully together if someone is interested. PM me with an offer.

 

still have this? will this work on a 99 a4 1.8t auto with triptronic fwd? let me know....i might be needing a motor right now...where are you located?
