These are big port heads from a 2001 2.8l A4 and they come complete as seen in the pics with the cams and new seals. They have ~55k mi on them and are engine code ATQ (these can be used on the 2.7l the exact same as AHA heads.) Price is $650 shipping(keep in mind these are pretty heavy.) Price is firm considering the mileage and condition of these heads. Detailed pics can be seen in this album:

People commonly use these heads on 2.7t engines with upgraded turbos because the intake ports are much larger as well as having smaller coolant ports in the castings allowing more shaping of the intake ports compared to the OEM 2.7 heads. They also have more aggressive cams that are almost identical in profile to the cams that came OEM in the B5 RS4.


To use these heads in a 2.7t application one would just need to swap in the sodium filled exhaust valves from their OEM 2.7 heads. Or if someone wants to go all out they could replace the exhaust valves with inconel (and intakes with stainless if they choose) and use upgraded springs/retainers to be able to rev out to ~8k RPMs (check 034 motorsports for the hardware.) Also, there's one coolant port on the back side of each head that would need to be tapped and plugged. You can see in the first two pics of that album the coolant ports already plugged on a different set of heads.


Story behind these heads: I bought them from a guy who had an issue with his A4 at 55k mi. His mechanic told him that the timing was off and that the engine was trashed. After he got a new motor he disassembled the old one only to find out that it was just a blown headgasket. He paid a local machine shop a couple hundred bucks to clean them up a little and to check them out to see if they're good to sell. The machine shop said they're in great condition and then they put new seals in the head.
