FS: Forge Splitter Recirculation and Blow Off Valve
What kind of sound does it make? Is it a high pitched whistle? Just curious. I was thinking of getting a new DV but not necessarily a Forge. Thinking more along the line of the APR R1 valve. But if the deal is good I may consider the Forge.
The original box I threw away along with the instructions, but you can Download the instructions off their website which is more detailed that the one they sent. As for the clamps I'd have to check where I put them, i'm still using the stock one.
This is not a 'TRUE BOV" it just vents about 10-15% to atmosphere and the rest still gets recirculated. You can also totally block the side that vents and just run it as a fully recirculary valve. So, NO, this valve wont hurt your engine and is actually a very nice valve even without that vent feature. It is fully adjustable by turning the top several clicks.
While others you have to take apart and use different springs or chims to adjust them. This one does it all and wont harm your engine.
Actually, if you have a open Air Intake under the hood you already get a nice wooshing effect that can be heard very loudly even without a vent type valve.

However, getting the old valve off is a pain in the rump. You have to cut or pry off the stock crimped on permanent clamps which
is going to be the hardest part. Took me 15 minutes to get those clamps off and then about 2 minutes to install the new valve with
the new screw on type clamps. So make sure you have the new clamps before installing the new valve. If you buy a new one it comes
with all the clamps and such you need to install it. If you buy it used you can always get new clamps for a couple of bucks at your autoparts store.
