I have a K04 turbo bought from goapr.com. Initially 1800 paid for and only had it on my a4 for 7000 miles. If interested call me 973-876-7702. Asking 1300 or best offer.

If it is a K04-15 for a A4 1.8t then you are way over priced since a brand new BW K04-15 goes for just under $1000. That $1800 sounds it was a full kit with tuning/injectors.

Phffttt.... $1800 sound about right for the K04 turbo alone! APR is a complete rip-off; only newbs go for APR thinking the higher price will give more.Originally Posted by Mike-2ptzero

Just to let you, I picked up a Cummins Holset turbo which is more reliable, can boost more and spools much faster than the DBB Garrett, PTE, Forced Performance turbos, etc... for $500 and it topped off at 958 AWHP on my little 2.0L 4 banger DSM.
Hmmm... paying $1800-$2000 or $500?
Looking into some stuff WILL save you some money!

Well then I guess your not so smart seeing that it is right on the ARP web site, listed under the B6 A4 1.8t listing. http://www.goapr.com/products/turbo_b6a4_k04.htmlOriginally Posted by f/-\st_TT

APR K04 Turbo Upgrade Including Software
2002 - 2005 1.8T With Injectors T2100003 $2,299.00 SALE! $2,069.10 Buy one Now!
2002 - 2005 1.8T Without Injectors T2100004 $1,799.00 SALE! $1,619.10 Buy one Now!
So if the K04-15 kit with tuning is $1619.10, how can just the K04-15 alone be $1800?
BTW there are plenty of A4 1.8t owners running Holset turbos, but not one of them has come close to 958whp, hell most of them dont even make 500whp. But then we own A4's not DSM's.

Okay, I blew it by not getting the prices right but despite being off by more/less a couple hundred bucks doesn't change the fact that it is still a rip-off. K04 only flowing a little lb/min for $1600+... godOriginally Posted by Mike-2ptzero

And I know it is a 1.8L going up against a 2.0L DSM but I'd like to see what a forge internal 1.8L block can take with a Cummins Holset semi truck turbo.

Some of those A4 owners were running built motors. The thing is that most A4 owners dont go all out on a stand out and aren't exactly looking to push their boost at 50psi.
My A4 is 2032cc, running a Garrett GT35r pushing 650whp. There is another A4 with a built 2 liter pushing over 800whp and is in europe, not sure if those numbers are with or without nitrous.
