i am looking for a new ecu for my b5 a4 1.8t QTM.... i recently installed a ko4 and 370cc injectors and stg2 clutch.... but i'm still running a ko3 file with an APR chipped ecu(boost 16lbs)... do you know how much boost this "stg 2" ecu is set at?

 

Jetspeed, you are in the exact same situation I am:
I have a custom K04 turbo, carbonio intake, FMIC, test pipe, clutch, Miltek exhaust. I did NOT install larger injectors (thought it was not a good idea without the right tune).

I have run a stock ECU (b5 a4 1.8T AEB) to train it, and a "TAP stage 2 +50 hp, 12.5 psi" chipped ECU.

Here is the boost curve with this set up (18.5 psi at 4000 rpm, pretty independent on weather/temperature; max. intake temp I could generate was 50 deg C (VAGcom log).

Note: with the stock ECU, boost is controlled to stock levels (I see 7 psi on my AEB).

I am trying to find a GIAC PC16 chip or chipped ECU, assuming that this file may make best use of my current setup.

Or a chipped ECU with a bigger file (550cc) for a T3T4, 50 trim, .48 A/R turbo (or similar; any T3T4 really) that I have at my disposal.

I am currently shying away (cost mainly, but also daily driver and complexity) from a piggy back solution (would be Haltech in my case).
