This Timing Belt fits 2.8 liter 30-valve engines years 98-01, O.E., made by Contitech. Bought it six months ago from Autohausaz.com. One of the members here pointed out to me that Blauparts.com rents the tools needed to replace the timing belt, but only if I buy their kit... So now I would like to sell this timing belt, 'cause it's already included in the blau kit and my beloved 99 A6 Avant Quattro only needs one... New price is $44.15 -- I'll pay the shipping cost via Fedex ground or UPS. I suppose I will take offers on that, just don't kill me...
Buy the way, if you are planning to embark on the same task as I am, it is highly recommended to replace the two rollers, the tensioner, the water pump with gasket, thermostat and the serpentine belt. And of course you'll need some special tools.
