WTB: Carbonio Intake for B5 A4
Title says it all. I have cash on hand. I live in So CA and would prefer a local pickup, but if we need to ship I'm fine with that too. Help me piece my car together. If the forums crap out again on us, email me at tookeet@gmail.com and we'll work things out. Cheers.
You might want to check this intake out. Its alot cheaper than a new Carbonio. I have it on my car, and love it. The intake tube takes in air from just below the headlight.

Thanks for the heads up, but I think I'd rather go with a complete carbon fiber intake. That intake you pointed me to has a decent amount of metal on it.
Have you noticed any decrease in turbo lag? Is your car any more responsive with this intake? I've heard over and over again that carbonio is the way to go and I've never heard anything about this other intake. I'm not saying it's not any good; I just don't know anything about it.

I have heard more complaints on the Carbonio that any other. I have reused the heat shield that came with my HKS system that was on there before. Its very similar to the system from Simotoa. They don't sell much here, but they do alot of business overseas. It didn't add to the lag. The exhaust note is deeper, and you can hear the turbo.
hmmm... I'll look into some consumer reports on this stuff to try to make up my mind I guess. I wasn't expecting your intake to add to turbo lag, by the way; I was expecting it to decrease it since it's there to let the turbo breathe easier.
