GONE! OVER! NLA!

I just bought a 2004 A8L and it came with (only) an unpainted panel with plate bracket. I would LOVE to trade for the panel without the plate holder.
Here is the thing in the exact color I need, Platinum Beige Pearl Effect (but I'd take any color of course).

You can probable get one at the dealer. The plate bracket is usually a dealer installed item depending on what state you live in.
You will have to get the part painted though.

A new one from the dealer is $220 unpainted! I considered asking the local Audi dealer for a used "take-off" panel but I have not been there yet, and didn't want my first interaction to be asking a favor. They'd probably be more receptive if I ask on the first inevitalbe $2000 service visit.

The cheapest new one I have found is $120. OEMPlus.com has them about that price. (I borrowed that pic from their site, see the logo in the bottom). If you haven't been to their site you may want to scope it out, pretty cool Audi stuff. They can get anything.
I also have an Ebay alert set up for the thing.
