Bought this b/c I thought the one that was in my car was broken - turns out I just needed to clean the contacts in back and remove the buttons and blow out w/ compressed air - works fine now. The previous owner said this unit works fine - it was from a wrecked car that was being parted out. After I received it, I realized it is different from mine and wouldn't have worked anyway (this unit has an "off" button where mine has another "recirculate w/ an A" button. The unit is in good shape, but the "auto", "-" & "+" buttons have the usual wear and someone tried repainted w/ a black paint or marker that doesn't match very well. It is an easy fix though that should only take a few minutes if it bothers you.
