i have two keys that are the 4 button keys they have the trunk, panic unlock, lock these keys i think are for the 1999 and up to 2003 keys they look fairly new i purchased them off of ebay and they were not the right keys for my car so they are laying around and i dont need them. one has a blank key and the other doesnt. the part number on the back of one of the keys is 8z0 837 231 f and the other i cant read. im looking for 45 for both shipped or i can split them up for 25 each shipped obo. let me know if you need pictures or want to make an offer.

 

How can I tell if they would work for my car? I have a 2000 B5 1.8tq. I am interested if they work. I will take both. Can you help me research?

do you have a trunk release button inside the cab. or is your trunk release button on the back of the car. let me know

 

it's funny cause I have only two buttons on my current key, but I found trunk release vacum lines coming from central locking pump... I assume three buttons would work as well? any experts in remote keys? I believe that those keys differ only in operating frequency range. but this is just my thought. reference to available keys and they range would be awesome...

thats no prob. I dont think it will i thought they would work for me to cause i have the button release on the trunk as well. i ended up typing in the part number on ebay and spending a few dollars on one off of there. they usually have pretty good deals i picked one up for 50 dollars almost brand new. that is alot cheaper than the 250$ from dealer. let me know if i can help you out with anything else.

 

Yeah, if you could find another key fro me. I need a key that is in better shape so I can program it to do different things.
