I bought rear deck speaker replacements from Bose after mine blew, but they do not fit the factory holes, even though Bose claims they are the right part. So I'm looking some replacements.

For the part I'm seeking...
- the audi part number is 8D5 035 401 C
- the bose part number is 226 007

I am in need of both rear deck speakers. If it helps at all my car is a 1998 1.8t A4, B5 Model.

Did you all determine if the 8D5035401B will work in the 2001 S4? I've got the same problem. I'd be happy to buy two new rear deck speakers if I knew they would work.
