2001 A4 2.8 Quattro

 

I need one too... for my 2005 A4 3.0 Quattro.
So if anyone has another one for sale let me know please.

 

Apparently the local junk yard has one. I'm going down to check it out. He wants 25. Ouch. Kind of steep for junkyard?

 

maybe for a junk yard but they are about $70-90 new and $40ish used from what I can find, wish we had a local junk yard around here.

 

Whelp, I got one for 20 bucks. It wasn't pretty but thought it would do. I figured I could use my old parts and just replace the housing that was broke on mine.
When I bought it, it worked fine. After taking it apart I found it semi broke in the same place. Doh!!

I'm trying to repair it with crazy glue and thin metal strips. It seems they all are very vulnerable in the same place. Right where the metal spring connects to the plastic housing.

 

How hard was it to get out of the dash to replace?
