I have an A8L 2000, can I buy a newer key fob, and program it to work with my car, or must I use the older key fob? I am sure that this is an easy question for someone to answer, I am just unsure of this. If someone could at least point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.
Oh, my car only came with the one key fob. How many sets can I have work with the one car? I think I read 4, is that true?

i just bought 2000 a6 2.8 L Q .. which came with one set of key and remote .. i am intrested in buy another set with remote .. i am new to Audi and dont really know where to look for the 4d0 837 231 P and FCC: MYT8Z0837231 .. i called the Audi dealer if they can be any help but they aparently dont provide any information about the key unless i am willing to place the order which cost over $230. So, if any one here can help me with 'd be great help.

Hello.... a newbie here ... just bought a 2001 A6 Avant Quattro Wagon for the family... Love it .. but I only have 1 key!
