I adore this car, but with a new business and limited paychecks ahead, I can't afford to put in the $$$ for a used transmission. It's killer fun to drive and I'd love to somehow keep it. I've found used trannies online for $2400-$2700. It's type ECF.
The car runs great and has been super well maintained, other than the service guide failed to mention changing the tranny fluid on a regular basis.
In the past two years, I've replaced: timing belt, water pump, thermostat, various seals, AC compressor, tires, brake pads all around, fuel filter, serpentine belt, and get regular oil changes with fully synthetic oil and new filters each time. It has the Sport Package.
The engine purrs, the stereo blasts, and the acceleration and handling is, well, stunning. Love the seat warmers.

Thanks for your response. Can you tell me the part number on the transmission? Also, how many miles from the original car, what kind of warranty I might expect, and how much to ship to San Carlos, CA? Thanks -- this sounds like a potentially good option.
