2001 Audi S4 - Chicago
Update - Car has been sold.
The time has come for our beloved Audi S4 to find a new home. This car has been in our family as my wife's daily driver since we took delivery in August 2000. Our lifestyle has moved us into an Avant as a daily driver for more room, forcing the sale of this car.
2001 Audi S4 sports sedan
2.7L V6 Twin Turbo Motor, 6 speed manual transmission
99k original owner miles, adult female Audi Car club member and euro enthusiast.
Offered at $8900
Factory options:
Brilliant Black exterior, Onyx black leather/Blue Alcantara interior
Cold Weather Package (heated seats, ski storage bag)
Premium Package (sunroof, auto dimming mirrors, Homelink)
Sport Package (aluminum exterior mirrors and interior beltline trim, leather and Alcantara seat trim)
Bose Premium sound plus 6 CD Changer
Upgrades:
- Stasis Track Sport coil over suspension (street comfy spring rates: 500F/550R). The suspension was originally installed and set up by none other than Audi factory supported racer Michael Galati back in 2002. The shocks were warranteed in 2007 and new ones installed with fresh springs 17k miles ago. The original 24k mileage stock suspension is available.
- BBS RK 17” wheels with Sumitomo HTR ZIII tires (measured 80% left). Tire Rack's review of this tire here: A New Name Challenges the Max Performance Summer Category .
The wheels are in decent condition, with the expected rock chips and road rash for their age.
- Stoptech front big brake kit with Axxis Ultimate front pads (~50%), Porterfield R4 rear pads (>50%)
- Stud Kit with 5mm spacer up front for big brake kit clearance
- Stainless steel brake lines (Stoptech front, Goodridge rear)
- UUC short shift kit (three way adjustable, set at 40% reduction), the original stock part is available
- Momo shift **** to match blue interior, the original stock **** is available if the blue is too much for the next owner.
- K&N air filter (only engine mod ever)
- Xpel Headlight protection film applied. The passenger side front fog lens was cracked ~7-8 years ago, it functions fine so we never got around to replacing the lens but did install headlight protection film after that.
Misc Notes:
- Non-smoker, no pets
- The original sale window sticker, Audi S4 sales brochures, etc all archived
- All original manuals, the 2 flip keys, service key and valet key are included
- Full maintenance documentation and receipts are available.
- The car still has 100% original body panels and paint work. As you can see from the pictures, the car is in good condition but realistically it is a 10 year old car, so not perfect. A good professional detail would go a long way to improve the finish but even without it she still shines up well.
This car has been the favorite in our garage all along; she has been well loved and we have taken good care of her. We have never had a significant mechanical event with the car, only normal maintenance and replacement of wear and tear items. We will sadly see her go and want her to go to a good new home. Shown below are a sample of the couple hundreds MB's of pictures I took of the car after it was cleaned up this past week.
