2003 A8L 81,201 miles
4.2L 40 valve V8, I have managed to get about 20 in the city and 24.5 on the highway, and for a V8 that is amazing. I'm not talking about cruising along at 50 MPH I keep with the flow of traffic. the majority of driving was done on the highway so 95% of my miles were done easily on the car with very little stop and go. The only thing added to this car is a K&N air filter which did increase gas mileage a little, so there is a plus. This car is spacious, I'm 6'2" and I fit comfortably in the back seats with the driver or passenger seats all the way back.
This car has everything, dual zone climate control and it blows ice cold Air I recharged the system a month ago. The brakes were just replaces about 1000 miles ago, front and rear, they were done with non-factory pads so the sensors aren't hooked results being the on board computer reads that it needs/has brake problems, but there is a lot of brake life left on them. The car has the cold weather package so heated seats front and rear. All seats are electrical and everything works perfectly. The car has seen some ware and tare but for being 6 years old and living in Florida its in great condition, I hate to get rid of it, But I'm going over seas for military reason and I want my baby taken care of, not just let it sit in a storage garage. I changed the oil every 5000 miles with Castrol GTX (5000 miles is Audi service requirements for not synthetic oil). Alignment was done 2000 miles ago, and I have the tires rotated every 3000 miles. The services have been take care of and I had the 80,000 mile service done when the thermostat went out about 4000 miles ago. The tires have a good amount of tread left on them. The battery and alternator were replaced last year.
The car comes with a transferable warranty, that is good until 121,515 miles or until 2013 this is a service warranty so all those pesky brake downs that might occur are covered the warranty is transferable so when you buy the car you get the coverage that I paid for, I think there is a transfer fee but it would be much less than getting your own. It saved me 10hrs of labor at $120 and hour just because a simple part broke under the warranty. So it has paid for it self and well worth the investment.
I have owned a few Audi's in the past and I like this one the best, all the new electronic gadgets to make driving easier, I have driven this in the snow with summer tires and it performed amazing, Quattro is the way to go.
