Coupe Quattro 1990
AUDI 20V COUPE QUATTRO – 1990 – NEAR ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND.
SOLD. SOLD.
• Very low mileage; was the first owner’s “divorce trophy” before we purchased it: very gently used by original owner and by current owners; runs perfectly, still looks great! A daily driver with collector potential – Hemmings Sports and Exotics, January 2011.
• Leather seats, Zebrano wood dash, carpets all in excellent condition: lights, heated seats, power seat controls, sunroof, fogs (front and rear) all functional; differential lockout – fantastic in snow! 21 year old car with LED high-mounted brake light – and almost all of the elements still work! (This car was priced at $30000 in 1990.)
• New Alpine stereo/CD with upgraded speaker system.
• K&N air filter, NOLOGY HotWire spark plug wires – but virtually everything else mechanical is stock.
• Excellent tires – low mileage all-season Michelin Primacy MXV4 205/60R15s on original Speedline wheels.
• Four Michelin Pilot Alpin 205/60 R15 un-mounted winter tires: virtually new: no measurable wear.
• Four Yokohama ES100 205/55ZR16 high performance summer tires on Borbet 16” five spoke (black) with silver rims.
• Timing belt, front ball joints replaced recently.
But some issues – most typical of Audi CQs of this vintage.
• Recent small splits in outer CV boots.
• Blower motor for climate control system/ventilation fan seizing up: needs to be replaced.
• Driver’s side door molding paint has some cracking; passenger side okay.
• Cockpit great condition, but leather panels in doors are loosening, and headliner material is sagging in places.
• Radio reception very limited: short in antenna cable suspected.
• Stock wheels totally functional but could use refinishing.
• Cosmetic damage was sustained in very slow speed front end impact on icy hill two years ago: all body damage repaired.
