i havn't made an *** outta myself at all... i just like to inform people of the way cars have been treated when you straight out told me and a few other "senior members" that we didn't know anything about cars/audi's..... and your ****** 16 dipshit... you have shown everyone that you know nothing..... just go away

p.s. i should totally post our little pm conversation on here.... now that would be hilarious and would also prove to everyone how stupid you are.... like i have told you before, keep changin oil at jiffy lube and shut the hell up

well, coming from a guy was looking at this car until i read derek's post, lets hear your side heart. what is your opinion on cooling the turbos? and is the jiffy lube comment just a comment, or do you actually get the oil changed at jiffy lube?

he works as an "lube tech", so i was just assuming it was at a jiffy lube or somewhere like that... which probably means he changes his own oil and if you wanna see what he said about cooling the turbo's check out his post in this thread...

i checked the thread you posted up. wow. yea that's irresponsible driving.

but on the other side of the coin (there is always another side isn't there?);

a single post in a thread that he didn't create doesn't really justify jumping in on his sale does it? not trying to be a dick or start drama or advocate running a car hard and putting it away wet, but from what i've read (and i can pretty much guarantee i haven't read everything pertinent) there's no indication that he is overly abusive on this vehicle. sure he probably drives it hard, but it IS an S4, and you can bet i'll be driving mine hard too (of course i'll temp cycle like you're supposed to). honestly, i don't think he's had it long enough to do damage to the turbos. how the previous owner treated the vehicle is a different story, but we can't make assumptions on that based on what we know (or don't know) about mr S4 here. again, i may be missing pertinent information. outside of that, most turbo failures are more attributable to f-hose and throttle body boot failures than improper temp cycling.

as for being 18 and working as a lube tech, i applaud the kid. not only for being 18 and having a job in ohio's job market, but for being 18 and being able to afford an S4.

now, on the edge of the coin, i must say i do appreciate your efforts to alert potential buyers to potential problems. people can get dicked by buying heavily driven vehicles advertised as well kept and properly maintained. it's just my opinion that it was done a bit aggressively. there may be history between the 2 of you i don't know about, but you can only base an opinion on what you know, right?
