FS: 1996 A4 Quattro 5spd 2.8 V6 NEW TIRES needs clutch $1800 (Chapel Hill, NC)
Here's the deal: my car needs a new clutch, I'm a medical student at UNC & just got married, (therefore) I can't afford to fix it. Cash only.
The car is a 1996 Audi A4 2.8L V6 with 148,xxx miles, a 5spd manual transmission, and Quattro all wheel drive that looks and runs great. It's been in my family since it was purchased new in 1996 and babied its entire life. The AC was rebuilt within the last 5k miles and is better than the day it was new (so says my father). The clutch broke on my way up to my wedding in NJ and we had to have it shipped back to Chapel Hill, which was a bummer, because I put FOUR NEW TIRES on the car THE DAY BEFORE . Since my wife and I are still helping to pay for the wedding, we're really not willing/able to spend the money on a new clutch (we have another car).
The car has titanium leather seats, new(ish) floormats, 16 in. wheels, a custom CD player that plays regular or MP3 discs and has an iPod jack, heated seats, ABS, a Bose sound system w/ six disc changer in the trunk, power driver's seat, and was equipped with the factory sports package. The car has never been in an accident, although it has its shares of relatively minor bumps and bruises (e.g. my 80 year old neighbor backed into a tree and scuffed the rear bumper). Overall, the paint quality is EXCELLENT for a car this old, which isn't surprising, because it has been regularly waxed/cleaned its entire life. Please feel free to email me with any questions!
