^ my apologies

Price with both sets of wheels (winters that are on it right now and the alloys) is $6500 OR $6000 if you want to take it as-is right now with only the winters on it and I keep the alloys with the new tires

And just in case I forgot to mention it in my mini-novel above, the heat will burn you out (even today in 4 degree weather I had to turn down the heat from the initial high setting on my drive home from work) and the heated seats will feel like they are burning you if you keep it on the highest number 6 setting (both driver and passenger) AND the A/C will freeze you out in summer!

Nice looking car. I would say a little high for a 13 yr old car w/ that mileage though.

I'd defiantly be interested if it was a 1.8t. Glws though.

^ While I'm well aware that we'll never get what we have into it, I've priced it what we feel it is easily worth and I would much prefer people keep pricing comments to themselves and not post about it here. Do feel free to PM me if you are seriously interested and we can talk in more detail.

Scary as it might seem, we have over $8000 into it now since buying it but have also gotten it to a nice point now with all the maintenance we've done without cutting any corners (and yes, we did pay a premium ourselves since it was such a rare color and came with nice maintenance records that we'll gladly give the new owner)

That being said, I would trust this car to go anywhere in the country and I would dare people to compare it to one with 60k miles and try to tell me the difference (this one has higher highway mileage from the former owner who used to commute between Seattle and Phoenix with it several times a year)

When we were looking in 2010, it was downright scary and sad the condition of most of the A4s we went to look at so we are quite confident this one will sell itself easily enough! (many 'poor' college students looking to sell because they needed money for school seemed to be a theme for many that needed way to much expensive maintenance to get back to proper reliable working condition)

I agree whole heartedly it is one of the best if not the best color. But maintenance and mods won't get you anywhere. Besides able to stick to your price v the buyer being able to negotiate you down due to lack of. That being said....

I'd price the car on an enthusiast forum where the won't tell you that your asking too much, and price it where you want it on eBay/craigslist/autotrader. Wherever you want.

Of course the asking price is not the bottom line but I'm not about to post the bottom line here or anywhere else because odds are someone would want to negotiate more again if you 'show your bottom line up front!' (at least that has been my experience) ..for example in selling a Miata, I listed a FIRM price and still ended up having to take $500 off.. next one I listed for $500 more than my bottom line and sold it for $250 above my bottom line.. another Miata I listed at $800 above my bottom line and sold it AT my bottom line so it varies... and I have learned my lesson (don't show your bottom line up front on any car you sell!)

I guess it is just me but I never ask about 'what is the bottom line' until I see a car in person and THEN talk negotiation numbers. (I'll do this the same with private party or dealers)

I guess I make false assumptions looking for the same thing as a seller?

I guess this is another point I'll have to disagree because as a buyer, I will run away from lack of maintenance

mods on the other hand vary a great deal.. because certain mods I do run away from and feel it only devalues the car.

For example:
if our car had the headlight mod we did already when we bought it, we would have seen it as a bonus and plus but if it had some slammed suspension on 20s, we would have seen that as a huge negative and probably would have meant a no-sale

But in the end it is all subjective and what an individual person wants and looks for of course

After having owned a 2001.5 S4 (along with all the expensive maintenance and break/fix that came along with it) this 2.8 NA was a nice change

Don't get me wrong no maintenance or little as an enthusiast mean little to me other than money.

Mods the same. Slammed on 20's means I'm selling wheels lol.

A stock 2.8 v my car would be less headache as well. If your car was a 1.8 I'd be on it like stink on a jock. Even sight unseen cause I could do the maintenance it would need. And I'd come see it ready to pay x amount and go from there.

If your car was an avant I might overlook the 2.8 fact, but pelican is rare and I don't think it ever saw the avant body.

Glws and I'd defiantly cl it at least. Also post it on az in the Midwest classifieds and on vortex, fortitude quattroworld. Any and all audi sites. I'd even join http://www.projektgerman.com/. Try on there. They are Midwest based.

thanks for the other tips for selling but the heavy advertising blitz (including craigslist) won't be until after my 2012 R arrives because right now this is my daily driver and selling now means I am stuck driving a truck to/from work instead until my R shows up (nice but not as nice as this Audi)

We have already turned down 3 offers (one of them we probably would have taken had my R already been delivered and this was March so the sale price bottom line will most likely change once we have 1 too many cars again!)
