Hey guys I'm the newbie around here and I have come here in search of my first car. I don't have a lot of money to spend but I figured 8k is do-able. Like I mentioned in the subject here is what I am looking for.

[* 5-6 Manual Transmission (Unsure about the tiptronic. Can someone please tell me how well these act?]
[* Any mods are accepted. I can do without mods, but if someone has done a stereo system or anything to nature would be appreciated in the vehicle.]

Please include any damages, broken parts, anything like that in the description of the vehicle. I prefer a non-smoked in vehicle. I require service records. Those are a must have. If not I need some way of finding out how well serviced it is. Thanks for reading and happy driving.

EDIT: I wish for a few more things. A quattro would be nice, however not an issue if it doesn't have one. Also, I want some power in the vehicle. Maybe 2.8L or above?

I've got a black on black '98.5 A4, 1.8 Turbo, Quattro, 5 spd. with 111k miles. I'm the second owner, bought it about 7 months ago with all books and records. I've done a lot of work to it already that was much needed like control arms, all wheel bearings, vacuum lines, CCV breather pipes and check valves, motor mounts, DV, just lots and lots of work. It drives like new, has new 17" wheels and tires, has 6-CD changer in truck with Bose premium sound. The only "sport" modifications I've done were an ECU upgrade and the better diverter valve. I also installed a boost gauge so you can keep an eye on things, otherwise all stock. The car is located in zip code 30043 and I can email you lots of pics if you're interested. Thanks.
