Hi Techbod

Followed your advice and got a code reader for my A2 problems
EM light currently not on but did reader anyway - came up with code 412E - cylinder 2 misfire

With this in mind and the other "Symptoms" of EMS light coming on - usually after I've idled in traffic - flashes on and off, loss of engine power/acceleration difficulty climbing hills etc, then going on to constantly on but slightly better performance- do you have any ideas?

Thanks

Paula

not too familiar with the A2's but im sure they're similar to other audi's. misfire's are caused by faulty coil packs 99% of the time. switch the coil pack to a different cylinder and drive your car again, then read the codes again. if the misfire went to the cylinder you moved the coil pack to then you just need a new coil pack. if it stays on cylinder 2, then its the spark plug. both are simple and cheap fixes
