Is it just me or does the screen color scheme of the Navigation screen look different than in my 2007?
I wish I could add the sunshades to mine. Is there an aftermarket solution?

I like the iPod cubby in the glove box! Does it have a dock connector molded in, or is it just a hold for the cable to come through? Also, I want that mirror with the compass! Niiiiiice!

I really like the idea of the TPMS. Having the light to alert you when the tires are low should save you some fuel mileage and wear on your tires, not to mention a potential wreck! (vs. checking them yourself whenever you think about it)

 

Yeah, itdoes lookdifferent. The color of the text and the navigation surround used to match the theme of the screens you were on, but now it looks like that is always blue and just the center portionof the screen changes color.

 

Thanks for the post! Exciting stuff to see. I've ordered the 2008 and will see it in a little over a month. (in Germany!!! yeah baby, gettin excited.) Anyways, I've ordered the rear sunshades too, and the option with the rear view mirror compass,and heard about the TPMS (= Tire Pressure Monitor System) but I don't see it in your picture? Where is it? What am I missing?

The TPMS is just the last button on the left (with a funky tire deflating picture) right below the nav, with the word "SET" on it. So it is a dumb TPMS, meaning that unless it is bloody obvious which tire is down you will have to check them all...

 

Figures. The only reason it's there at all is that it's a federal requirement for all new 2008 cars in the US to have a tire pressure monitoring system. It makes me sad that Audi chose the cheapest possible way to comply.

 

The mirror with integrated compass is definitely the biggest news to me. Rear sunshades could be nice, too.
