Default Are 19" wheels too big?

I am still debating on whether to get 18" or 19" wheels.

I've heard that 19" wheels make the ride really harsh and that the wheels will dent easy, etc. ect. Also, would I need to lower my car if I go for the 19"?

I live in LA, climate is dry, I am a daily city driver (no racing).

If anyone out there have 19" on their A3, I would love to hear your input!

Thanks!

Mike

I wouldn't go larger than an 18" for a daily driver. With 19" wheels you most likely be rubbing at the stock height. Make it out to the GTG next weekend in Irvine and you'll see a bunch of different vehicles, mods, and talk with other Audi enthusiasts. Check out the thread under the "West" section.

Cheers!

Depends where in L.A. you are. I used to go to school at UCLA. Westwood, Santa Monica and the west Wilshire area have some really crazy potholes. 19" = discomfort + high risk of wheel damage

Take it from me if you dont like the car to rub, dont get 19' wheels.
I do think the 19's fill the wheel wells better then 18's or 17's.
