2006 Concert II - Reset Radio / ECU
I am trying to reset my Concert II radio on my 2006 A3, as I took it in for repair to a scratch mark on the roof and when it was returned my radio has been acting a little strange.
The buttons along the screen of the radio not corresponding to the numbers above them on the screen.
Stations 1 and 2 the numbers correspond to the buttons below. But stations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 the button below on the right activates that station. So if I click station 4 I get station 3, the problem follows for when a CD is playing, so when I click to skip a track forward the radio chooses the option for going back a track.
I want to try reset the radio, and if possible the ECU at the same time as I would like it to learn my driving style from scratch. I bought it a year ago and this problem has never come up before.
I have searched and found that most people can reset everything with a disconnection of the battery / fuses. I have tried both for very long periods (longer than 4 hours) and no luck.
It seems as though my radio retains all its information, stored radio channels remain and i get no ECU warning light to indicate that its been reset.
How can I reset these two items?
If anyone can help me Id really appreciate it..
Thanks..
