Hey whats up...last friday I just got my new car...its the 2.0T atraction plus with beigge interiors , sunroof, bose sound system , s-tronic and everything else you cold get in it...I think you may have rarely see it because this model is not for sale in the US bit here in mexico it is...

AGAIN!!!!! The US gets SCREWED!!!! Why don't we ever get the fun models like 2 door or S models. I hope eventually they will bring us the S3 even if it is in the 4 door model we get. Just imagen the possiblities!!!

 

In the UK, there is the option to have the door panels etc. in matching leather in both the 2 and 4 door models.

The US gets screwed... In some threads people have indicated that even in the 4 door A3,things are a littlecramped. Generally you guys in the US liketo have more space than you can use, hence you get no2 door A3. Over here,I wouldn't dream of buying a 4 door A3 (called the A3 Sportback in UK), the 2 door looks so much better.

And I imagine no S3 as they only make it in 2 door, unfortunatley for you lot. Though the new S3 in the UK starts at £27k, I'd rather have the new TT which starts at £23.8k, theres no contest. The new S3 doesn't have the same appeal over the A3, as the old one did. I believe the new TT is due out in the US in 2008.

 

Until AudiUSA changes tactics, selling a 3 door fun hatch is not buying AudiUSA anything. Do you see A3's sold in thousands in USA yet, nope because they are pushing the A4 sedan over the A3 hatchback here in the states. (Personally I like the hatchback over the sedan - more useful) Audi USA is currently only selling 2.0T manual and DSG, and Quattro 3.2 DSG five door sportbacks.
Hopefully we will see the A3 convertable in the near future.
In some ways I'm glad we don't have all the engine choices and option choices that europeans have, I like the bundles, but would prefer a few more interior bundle variations.
The three door S3 from what I have heard has problems getting pass smog certs in the USA.
BTW total USA sales so far are only about 13,200 A3's.

 

Given a choice between a S3 and a TT, I'd also go with the TT, at least that will make it through our USA smog certs!
