2007 A3-Sirius Questions
Hello,
I'm new to this forum so bear with me if this has already been asked. What serial numbered Sirius receiver will work with a 2007 A3? I have read that the 8E0-057-593 will work, but will any other receivers also work?
I've had my A3 for about 2 weeks now, and I am a believer!!!
Thanks in advance,
Josh

RE: 2007 A3-Sirius Questions
I have an 08 A3 with basic radio no nav. Did not want to pay the dealer $$$ to add satalite radio. Spent a few hours searching these threads and ended up with XM (which I like better) Installed myself EZ. Paid $71.00 including shipping for 8E0 035 593A. E-BAYAs I understand it ,pretty much the same as 8E0 057 593A the later just a newer mod. Works great. Did have to buy a terk XM splitter from amazon for $19.00 . Saved OVER $500.00 from what dealer wanted. You may not find quite the deal I did but I bet you could come close. 8E0 057 593A- XM 8E0 057 593 Sirius these also will work 8E0 035 593A XM 8E0 035 593 Sirius. I am not so good withtools...but this was easy.

RE: 2007 A3-Sirius Questions
Well, what tskeen is saying is that his '08 has 1 antenna wire, and he bought a Terk splitter to adapt it to an earlier (XM) box that has 2 antenna inputs. The antennaleads are green and brown on '06 and early '07 cars. The easy way to tell what your car needs is to pop the little coverin the drivers side luggage area, and look for the taped up wires. If you only have 1 coax type lead there, then you'll need to get a splitter to make it work with the early box. Don't forget to open up the passenger footwell - you'll need toconnect the bus thereif your car hasn't had satellite hooked up before.
