2011 A3 - No AUX Input?
Hey all, I've been meaning to post for a long time as I can't find a good answer elsewhere on the forums or Google.
I have a 2011 A3 with the iPod/Nav combo. The plug for the ipod is in the glovebox. I'm 95% sure that there isn't an existing AUX (1/8") jack anywhere in the vehicle right now.
What I'm wondering is- Is there a way to swap out the iPod cable, or to easily install an AUX jack in the glovebox? Has anyone else come up against this?
It would be really nice to use alternative music players in such a new car...
Thanks in advance.

Actually there is not an AUX jack located under the armrest. I don't think there is one installed in the car... but I'd like to know if there are any other options.

Thanks guys,
So I'm thinking about purchasing my A3 prior to the end of the lease, which has opened up the possibility of making some electronic modifications to the car.
What I want to achieve is, keep the iPod cable plugged in as it has been and install an additional auxiliary jack that can function alongside it. This would prevent me from having to remove the ipod cable every time I wanted to use a headphone cable instead.
Not to mention that the aux dongle I found online has a cable that is only about 8" long, making it totally useless when plugged into the glovebox.
I'd like to either wire a longer cable through the glove, or better yet through the center pedestal.
Has anyone done anything like this?
Thanks much
