Default 2011 Audi a3 2.0T auto

So I just recently bought an a3 and I was looking for some guidance to possibly fix an issue. It started shortly after I had purchased the car and had to my knowledge started after replacing the battery. This is what's happening, it seems to be after take off from a stop light or in stop and go traffic the car gets a lil bucky and jerks around then accelerates hard. I recently just noticed that when I'm in the higher speeds and accelerate to pass a car I can kind of feel it bog down some for a brief second and then engage and go. I've had it in and looked at and my usual shop has no idea. They claimed to have "relearned" the transmission thinking my issue is a tranny thing but the kicker is I don't notice these issues if it's in the slap stick mode. So I do remember a buddy years ago who was a pretty intelligent person among the audi/vw community had mentioned upgrading coil packs with the 2.0T motor because the originals aren't the best? Idk just spit balling and hoping for some help but from some of the other articles I've read on here with similar issues have been spark plug and coil pack related for similar issues. Also there are no codes or dummy lights on the dash which has lead to my confusion on this. So any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading and thanks to anyone who helps!
