2017 A3-- loud harsh noise when push start
I've had my car for less then a year and have had already multiple problems with my new A3!!! Car would literally turn off in the middle of the road at first (engine recall related-- which they fixed) and now this.. It makes me so sad & frustrated!
My question is, has anyone had problems when starting their car? It started a couple of month ago, where when I'd press the push start button, it would make a pretty loud scratching/grinding sound, and then start. Was weird, but was occasional, and seemed to run fine. Now, a month and a half later, it happens every morning or when my cars been sitting for a little bit. I took it into the dealership and of course they couldn't find anything related to that, but said my battery failed the test & replaced it. A week later, my car wouldn't start two days in a row, and after a few attempts at holding the button, it would finally start (struggling hard). Does anyone know what that could be about/experienced it themselves??! So frustrating for a new car/wanting a reliable means of transportation!
The audi dealership I've been going to has had terrible customer service (which is also super disappointing) & I plan on taking it to another local one.

I have the Premium Plus 2.0 TFSI FWD... not diesel.
So I took it today to a much better dealer near me and the starter is bad. He and I agree it makes no sense for a new car Ive had 9 months....?!
Does anyone know why my new car would already have a bad starter? Seems crazy to me! It only has 17,000 mi on it!
