Wonder if anyone can offer me a bit of help. My 04 a3 2.0 tdi has problems starting roughly once a fortnight. Turn the key it ticks over but doesnt start. RAC came out to me and sprayed sure start in the air intake and it started.

Its becoming more regular lately and i find if i give it some acceleration it starts. If i its in the non starting mood and i dont give it some gas the only way to start it is with sure start in the air intake.

No error codes are present, it doesnt happen often enough for a mechanic to see the problem so i was just wondering if anyone had any experience of a similar problem or if anyone had any advice.
