Default A3 3.2 v's BMW 330 xi

I just bought the A3 3.2 S-line. I test drove the BMW 330 xi and was very disappointed with it's power thats why I went for the A3 (I need the 4 wheel drive). Has anybody any opinions about the A3 3.2 and any extra info about it that I wouldn't already know from reading reviews on the web? Thanks.

you should check out goapr.com it's a company that updates your ECU chips on your Audi's, you think you get alot of power out of your 3.2? wait until you get it chipped, i have the A3 2.0T, stock, i it's 200 horses with 207lb of torque, after i got it chipped, i have almost 250 horses with 285 lbs of torque. think of what you can do with your car. goapr.com

How long should you wait to chip a car. I was told by the manufaturer that you should wait almost 10K before chiping. Seems like a long time to me. What are your inputs?

I have an A3 3.2 and it's too bad that APR won't have ECU mods for the 3.2 since it's a none turbo model. You may change the speed limiter to go beyond 135mph. Also, if you have an A3 2.0T you may also consider changing the intake plus high performance diverter valve. I had a TT with ECU mod from APR and the other 2 items I just mentioned and the car was FAST. The only bad thing was the car had 90k and I KILLED the timing belt due to all the additional stress.

I would not recommend you do any mods till 15k 2nd schedule. This way, you are making sure your car don't have any manufacture defects before you do any mods.

i had 8000 miles on it when i got it chipped, but i don't race it, and rarely drive it beyond 3500 rpms. but i have two programs on it from apr, one is the stock mode, and the other is the performance mode, so whe i take i in the dealer, i just put it back in stock mode. i don't think i need to drive past 135 mph, but does apr have a program to change the speed limiter? what was the fastest you drove on your audi?

you won't get that much power from the 3.2 with a chip, i have a 3.0 a4 and i would get 8-12 horsepower and about the same torque for $400. it's not worth it, 2.0 turbo deff worth it.
