Default A3 Alarm Troubles

Hi,
I have just bought a 2000 A3 1.8T Sport and I'm having troubles with the alarm. It keeps going off at random intervals for no apparent reason. The only way around this is to leave it unlocked.

Has anyone got any useful suggestions of how to stop my alarm going off and disturbing the neighbours?!

Thanks in Advance

Rob

I'm not sure about the A3, but on the A4 you can use a VAG-Com to adjust the sensitivity of the alarm.

Default RE: A3 Alarm Troubles

Hey Im Also a A3 Turbo Sport owner, Dont Kno Much about em but i kno u can turn your interior alarm sensor off, open drivers door and look on the left, you will see a button, just press it when u park up and set alarm as usual. (this button is for if you leave your dog or anything else that could move when ur out) also maybe the alarm backup battery is dying(they usaully set the alarm off when they are weak to warn the owner), have u recently put a new main battery in or disconnected the cables? ( this can reset ur alarm and u will need a specialist to fix)

hope this helps
