Im curious about the male owners to female owners of A3's. Every girl I know that sees my car says its cute!!!! That makes me so angry. I don't drive a cute car! Some people think it's a girl car. Highly mistaken in my opinion.

 

Most of the people you will encounter on any automotive forum will be males, so it will be hard to find out anything here. That being said, a lot of girls refer to my car as "cute" too. Of the 5-6 A3's I have seen around town, its been about an even m/f ratio.

 

I know iposted this somewhere else...apologize for repeating. A3 was top of the list of 'chick cars' on last weeks episode of 'test drive' on mojo. This affords us one luxury...they never see us coming.

I asked this exact question on the test drive; answer from the passenger seat "ive sold A3s only to men". I believed him at the time but now i wonder.

Anyway you slice it, Its a great looking car -- just dontthink imgoingto be hanging rubber nuts from the back bumperanytimesoon.

 

35. Regarding the Scion box, Honda did the same thing with the Element. They spent millions on marketing to the - just out of college market -and then found out that 40 somethings were their #1 buyer.

 

44. Some of the reasons I am considering the A3: I can fit a surfboard inside (9' longboard), fun to drive and the greatlooks imho make it a semi-classic. I suppose here in Hawaii driving a wagon is not such a curse asit might be elsewhere.

You can fit a 9' surfboard in an A3??? What the hell kind of model are they producing in Hawaii??? I could barely fit a 9' surfboard in my minivan.

How about you get a roof mount for your surfboard? It can double as a set of wings for some seriously fun high-speed maneouvers. LOL

yeah, how is that possible without giting wax on your seats??? I have a 9'11" so got some Thule racks. There's no way i'd try to put any board bigger than a 6'3" inside my car.
