Default a3 dsg

Hi im going to look at an a3 tommorow which is dsg , is dsg semi automatic or fully as in can i change it manually aswell? And also is there anything i should be looking out for when viewing.

The DSG [dual clutch] transmission can operate automatically just like a planetary automatic with a torque converter; or you can shift it. The difference that you should notice immediately is that shifts are seamless and instant. The drivetrain is never out of gear except whin the lever is in Neutral.

it's a dual-clutch transmission, so it' s not like a tiptronic. it's like a real manual but without the clutch. it doesn't offer AS much control as a manual, but it's a pretty good tradeoff
