Hi,

Always had my eye on Audi but had to compromise and buy ES350 a year ago, back in the market. I ahve few questions on the TDI version.

I commute 38 miles one way to work everyday, hence TDI :-)

The maintenance for TDI is for 10,000 miles or it would still be for 5K miles?

Any idea on what the maintenance bill is going to be when i visit every 5k or 10K which ever is relevant for A3?

Or do you recommend any other Audi model for my commute style?

According to the maintenance schedule on the Audi USA website, initial maintenance is at 5k miles, with 10k between services (i.e. 5k/15k/25k/...). If you buy the AudiCare plan ($740), the 15k/25k/35k/45k/55k are pre-paid. I've read on other forums that the AudiCare price is less than the combined price of the five annual services, so it's worth considering.

IIRC, the 5K service is complimentary. I'll find out soon, as I'll be taking delivery on an A3 TDI sometime in the next week or so.
