Default A3 S-line package or not?

I am a total Audi newbie (1st post here!)but will be purchasing a 2008 A3 very soon to replace 2005 MiniCooper. My problem is the A3 I test drove is amazing;
Lava Grey, S-line, Titanium Package, Open sky! Its more than I wanted to spend, but wow does this look and drive hot. My question is, how much of
a difference is there in the drive between a non S-line A3 (Premuim) and the S-line package with sport seats and suspension? I know I need to go drive
the A3 without the S-line first but I thought perhaps someone hear had some info or opinion on it! Thanks.

not sure on the prices cuse i got mine used with 10k on it but before i found mine i test drove an 06 that was base and the ride felt diffrent, i think b/c of the seats, suspension and tires it had. id say try and find one used like i did. got it last month lava grey s-line it has no dings or anything interior is perfect and had the tech package all for 22,000.

austina what state did you find your used A3 for? Was it a CPO? Sounds like you got a grate price of 22k!
SoCal has very few used A3'S, non in Lava Grey for a decent price!

certified pre-owned (warranty)

Check out this thread https://www.audiforums.com/m_513369/tm.htm

Drive both, then decide.

i just got one last week in socal for 24k with 12k miles on it with an extra 50k mile 2 year warranty

i got it at Miramar VW and Audi. the Porsche dealer next to them is about to buy them out so they are trying to move their "rental" A3's. they had a red and white one for the same price, i got the grey one . its a great deal, best i could find. and its a dealer maintained vehicle.

Buy Stryker's car and have a nice 3-day break-in period on your drive back from Florida.

You won't find a more beautiful Lava Grey A3 around.

Cheers!

Jack D ! I cant believe you scored a grey CPO from Mirmar! If only my wife liked white or red we would have bought one already, but Lava Grey is the color to get. Mirmar
told me 25k flat for either the red or white one, a very very good deal. I guess we just have to pay more to get the exact color and combo we want. Did yours have Open Sky?
If so you got one of the only ones used in SoCal, congrats!
As soon as my Minicooper sells I will have a A3, and it looks like I will be paying full price, unless another Lava Grey used hits the market.
FYI BH Audi has one but it does not have Open Sky, only 2k miles or so, for 27k (I think).
Thanks for all the info so far, I need to test drive a non Sline, but look at hot our first (expensive) choice is!
