Hi everyone, i'm about to change my abs pump control module part number 1J0 614 117A. My friend with a VAG-COM has advised me that this is needed. I'm curious to know if I need an exact part match or is there a range of part numbers that will work? I have been on various sites offering pumps but the last letter of the part code is not an exact match, not an A but B,C,D you get the idea. I have been told that various VW and some seat pumps will work but don't want to risk it without getting some sound advice first. I would be greatfull if anyone could advise me on this as I don't wish to buy the wrong part, many thanks for your time. I have a 1997 A3 1.6, a little old but I've spent some time on getting it to look great and dont want to see it go!
