I have a 2008 not 2008.5 A3 and want to have an auxiliary input as I hate the ipod adapter. I was reading the manual and they said that you can have an auxiliary input installed by a audi dealer? Is this true as I talked to a local stereo store and they said it was not possible. I appreciate the help!

It looks like it has an iPod interface in addition to a standard aux input port. I have not had the pleasure of installing it, I am still checking stuff out. The compatibility says its ok with 2006+ A3s. May be something worthwhile. I would be interested to find out what other products there are out there just so I have options.
