don't know if you figured this out or not yet. i have a 06 A3 too and I've been installing head units for a while now, since i was 15. all on my friends older cars and even on my first audi which was a B5 A4.
i ordered my kenwood head unit through a website with the guaranteed compatible harness to plug and play. turned out to be a huge headache.
with the concert 2 system, there is the canbis system which is a real pain in the *** to bypass the power through the harness through to the head unit, or directly to the head unit off power from your fuses.
i eventually got it to work but i wasn't satisfied with what i had done so i returned the head unit after multiple conversations with the tech help people from the website cause it turns out they weren't aware of the canbis 2 systems that made it annoying to install new head units cause their harness weren't compatible.
sorry about the run on sentences. but yeah. i just took my car to a highly recommended car and marine sound system place and got it done by a professional. even he said it took him longer than expected cause they had to by pass a bunch of wire directly to the head unit.
hope it helps and isn't too late. if you already took care of the head unit what did you do?
