Default Alloy wheels/offset

Hello this is my first post here and already with some questions/cheeky

I have an audi a3 2007 s line 2.0 tdi.

It have standard 18'' rs6 alloys with standard sline height.I am happy with the alloys but want to stick them out abit and in the future I want tlower it abit(maybe 20mm).

Option 1 is to use spacers,I dont really want to as some say they're just say t not safe.Any way if I were to use spacers what size should I get max to be safe and will I get the same front/rear or the rear more (thats what I've been suggested but I also thought that if the rear tyres stick out more then the front it could ruin the handling ??

Option 2 is to buy a set of wheel from an audi A4.With Et45,my quick calculation is they take the wheels out by 11mm.Am I sayng right and will they fill the arches well ?

If anybody have done it before and can post a pic that will really help.

cheers and thanks in advance
