Am I crazy or.....?
I just traded my A3, 2.0T few days ago for a 2008 A4, 2.0T Quattro and who should be happier than me, but I really miss my A3, I just think A3 it's more fun to drive, DSG works better than Tiptronic, also engine sounds kinda like a disel, it's too loud. I know I should be happy but I'm just verysad right now. Every time when I pass by dealership I want to take my A3 back. I don't know maybe it's just something wrong with me...
I just want to hear your opinion. What do you think about difference between A3 and A4, I know it's hard to compare front wheels drive with quattro. Anybody else had simiar experience with A3 and A4.
Thanks.

Well, you screwed up; The A4 is a nice, solid German sedan, certainly better than a Volvo,but the A3 is one of those special cars that inspires love - they're just a blast. It's hard to believe it's the same motor when it's hooked up to that Tiptronic slushbox.

Juzzo,
Your going to feel more pain posting to an A3 forum. We love our cars. Full stop. You will probably feel better about your decision after a while. I tried the A4 several times before I bought the A3. Both are great cars, but as hesaputz says, something about the a3 makes it just a little different from other cars.

I've test-driven A4 Avant 2.0T 6-Speeds and A3 2.0T 6-Speeds back-to-back, and for my money, I'd actually pay more for the A3. To me at least, the A3 felt roomier inside (except for the cargo area) and was far more engaging to drive. It didn't take my five minutes at the wheel of the A3 to cross the A4 off of my short list.

Juzzo;
As they say: hindsight is 20/20. Sorry about the salt, but - around where we live - A4's are a dime a dozen. But, my A3 is the only one I see on a regular basis - it has a sort of uniqueness. Plus - the hatch coupled with the rear seats folding down has made it quite convenient for stops at Lowes on the way home from work.
Don't let it get you down - everybody's allowed one 'mulligan'.

Thanks guys, I think I'll get used to my new A4, but for sure I'll miss my A3, now I have to move to A4 forum but in the future I'll be back to A3 section, just 'cause something is special about A3's.
thanks
