Default Audi A3 service shop in Westchester county NY

Hi,
My car (2006 A3) is up for 55k service and I called a few Audi dealers around my area. The min quote I was given is $650(if they find no problems) which i think is a rip off... I am trying to find a non-dealer audi repair shop in westchester. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Also my car is a CPO (certified pre owned), do you know if the warranty of the car would be void if I don't take it to the dealer for the 55k service. All replies are appreciated.

Thanks.

I just did the 55K service on my 2007 A3 at an independent shop for $275. I bought new, but I seem to recall that there is a law that says if a service is required from a dealer only to maintain warranty service, that service has to be free. So I'm guessing as long as you have the paper work validating all the procedures were done, you're clear. Check with the dealer or Audi first though.

Thank you for your reply. I called Audi today, they said it should be fine doing the service at an independent shop and it shouldn't void the warranty. Is the shop (you took ur car for service) located in NY/NJ/CT area?

Thanks.

No. It's in Charlotte, NC. I found it by googling both for listings of shops that did Audi/Volkswagen service and for customer complaints of those shops. I'm sure you'll have success finding a good shop in NY.
