My wife ran over short concrete post in my Audi A3. Unfortunately it dented the trans pan (DSG Trans) that covers the mechatronic module. The pan dented in just enough to cut a couple of wires in the ribbon cable that goes from the back of the mechatronics unit to the front contactor plate. Audi dealer can not sell me just the ribbon cable (no part number in their system). They can only sell me the entire mechatronics unit which I don't need ($2000).
Anybody have a part like this or know where I can buy this ribbon cable/contactor plate assembly? I'd be happy with a used one if it wasn't broken. Part number on ribbon cable/contactor assembly is 02E 325 039.

 

Would your comprehensive insurance not cover this? Seems like it's the same as if she hit a post and dented the fender. And this is just a question, I don't have any idea.
