Auxillary audio input on 2009 A3 SE 1.6 TDI

Auxillary audio input on 2009 A3 SE 1.6 TDI
Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum, having just bought myself a 2009(59) A3 SE 1.6 TDI 3 door.
Everything I have read online suggests that a 2009 A3 should have an auxillary audio input socket (3.5 mm jack), but I can't see one around the armrest / handbrake area, which is where it usually is by all accounts.
Does anyone know exactly where it is? Or alternatively, does anyone know if I am wasting my time because my model doesn't have one?
[EDIT] I forgot to add, my A3 is a UK model.
