Hi everyone, ive recently had my driver side wing mirror kicked in by some little bast**d.
The whole unit requires replacing. Its an A3 S-line 2011 model. Ive found a replacement which is the same model but its an electric folding mirror and mine wasn't.

Does any one know if this would still fit and work on my car?

The painted housing would interchange since there is only one p/n for the left side, the base that has the mirror motor transmission and wiring has 2 left side p/n's. One folds as you know, other doesn't. I don't know if this interchanges but I'll bet the door or whatever it bolts to isn't different between folding and non folding, bolt patterns I'll bet are the same. The mirror choices are auto dimming (these have a black border around the outside of the glass) and non dimming (standard glass). From what I see the mirror mount on the transmission should accept either glass part number. The used one you are looking at, if you have auto dimming and this used one does too it could be a good buy as that auto dimming glass is expensive. 78 vs 276 dollars. On the mirror base it's 168 vs 314 dollars, non folding vs folding.
