anyone know a website or a good company that sells some nice black exhaust tips for an A3 2.0T?

Dude, just don't wash your car for a while and they'll turn black. We call that the Panda mod.

High-temperature paint like that that would be used on a barbecue grill, a commercial oven, or similar application could probably do the trick at very low cost.

Yeah actually they sell engine block spray paint at any automotive parts store...

ok, but where can i get the tips? don't wanna pay a lot of $$ for nice chrome tips if i'm gonna paint over it, so where can i get some tips? obviously, i'm gonna paint them, so no need for high end brands

You'll be looking at about $60.00 for each exhaust tip plus paint costs. Prepare by lightly sanding with emery, prime, and spray using high-temperature paint. Figure on $150.00 for this upgrade including shipping costs and taxes.
