Blacking out grill and side marker lights.
Ok so today i decided to black out my grill and those ugly yellow bumper lights.
I bought a can of satin black spray paint and matte clear, and also lens tint for the side markers.
I ended up painting everything while still on the car and just taped the car off real good. It actually turned out pretty nice and saved myself about 270 bucks.
So if anyone is thinking of doing this just be sure you take your time and tape the car off real good or you will get over spray all over your pretty A3. Eventually i will probably buy a after market grill because i want a badge less one but this works for now.
I did leave the chrome ring unpainted because i didn't know how the paint would take to it, but the chrome Audi rings covered up nicely so i could of probably painted it with no issues.
The bumper running lights covered up nicely also with the tint spray, i did about 5 coats for a dark smoke look.

Thanx, today my Fk Badgeless grill came in the mail, i really wanted a grill without the audi rings, and with out all that chrome. I'll post pix tomorrow after i have it installed. Yes i'm paying to have it installed, call me lazy, but pulling the bumper off is a pain in the butt lol. Yes there is a way to get the grill off without pulling the bumper, but i tried that method and just felt like everything was going to break.
My only complaint is that this fk grill is defently not grade A quality, there are some imperfections in the outer ring, but i'll get some pix up tomorrow so you can see what i mean.

So today i had NGP install the badgeless grill and the euro plate, yes i know maryland tag is horrible looking but it will save me a ticket. Hopefully this gives some of you guys and gals a ideal of how this would look on your A3, if you were thinking of doing it.

Watch this video, i'm getting one. Its a retracting licence plate holder, that folds the plate under your bumper, then press the control and it pops out lol.

I just like the stealth look, makes people wonder what the hell is it lol. Already have had a couple people ask me what it was. It does have the mounting bracket for a s line badge if u wanted one, i got a german flag that fits right in.They sell the same grill with the audi rings too.
