anyone experience the bluetooth screeching sound just before dailing occurs? Is there any fix for this?

 

I have that as well, pretty lame. Was going to inquire when I took my car in for first service...are you using an iphone?

 

I get that screeching sound right when I turn the power on actually. I was wondering where the noise is coming from. For me it happens before BT connects to my phone.

 

I'm getting it now, since they had to replace my HU (TSB on symphony,w/o nav, if it matters). Not every time though, but enough to be grating.

 

It may be related to the kind of phone you are using. When I use my iPhone, I do get the buzzing sound when I place or receive a call for the first time during the ride (may be related to some kind of bluetooth connection issue). I used to not have that problem when I was using my old SonyEricsson phone.

 

I'm also using an iPhone. Not sure if it was the phone or the car's problem. I think it happens more frequently than just the first call.

 

I'm on a CDMA Blackberry, so methinks it's not a GSM phone-specific issue.

 

i know that i get that buzzing sound when a call comes in, inmy speakers, It seems to happen to everyone, no matter what car you drive, i dont think its something that can be avoided?

 

yeah, when don't disconnect bluetooth on my phone and turn the car off, the most spine-crackling, soul-shattering sound is made! i have a Nokia n75...getting an iPhone July 11th.

 

My ringer volume is way too loud.

When someone calls me while I'm playing music at an audible level, the ringer through the speaker is disturbingly loud. I'm use to it by now, but my passengers get quite startled whenever that happens. Is there a way to turn the bluetooth ringer volume lower?
